Tell me I should not feel uptight about being glad that I didn't get that job along time ago because I have all these clothes
As you know I have tons of clothes and I love all of them and I am glad I purchased all of them.
Any way today my mom and I were talking about jobs. Here is the background: As I told you NYC is divided into 5 boros and then there is Long Island which is considered New York State. Long Island is divided into Nassau County and Suffolk County. As you know any one can work in any private sector jobs you dont have to be a resident, however, if I wanted to work in the Long Island schools as an Administrative Assistant (not a teacher or Executive) I have to be a resident. So about five years ago I did temp work in a school on Long Island, but they could not hire me because I live in NYC, not on Long Island. So today in the car I said to my mom that it isnt right that I cannot work in the schools on Long Island. And she said "It is too bad they did not hire you at that school you temped in that was such a good job"
But what goes thru my mind as well as feeling I should say to her but wont "Well if I did get the job there five years ago then I would never have all these clothes that I have and I am so glad I have these clothes." You see I would never have discovered the 99 cent store and never would have purchased any of these clothes if I had that job on Long Island.
The reason I found all these clothes is due to the fact I was laid off from my banking job on December 19, 2007.
